The Best Self Esteem Books For Boys

By Rosella Campbell

Adolescents and teens often go through a stage where they have low esteem in themselves because they just do not know how they are supposed to fit in like they want to. When they cannot fit, they develop a dangerous mentality that they are not good enough or not worthy to be in the society. In order for these young men to fully grow up into real men, it is sometimes advisable for parents to buy some self esteem books for boys who are suffering from this.

Now the book named Developing Emotional Literacy with Teenage Boys is definitely one of the best books targeted to males who are in this age. This book was written by one of the most famous inspirational authors whose name is Tina Rae. This book aims to take a closer look into the heads of young men at this age.

Now the main context of this piece of work is to simply try to shape up the mind of the readers to make them emotionally stronger and stable. Trying to fit in with the expectations of society is really hard and sometimes develops negative results. The author tries to offer techniques on how to surpass negative thoughts and build up the proper confidence that is needed in order grow up properly.

Another great book is entitled Battlefield of the Mind. This book was actually written by a Christian author named Joyce Meyer who has written a lot of other inspirational books as well. Although this is targeted to Christians, it is actually a great book for non Christians as well because of the insights that are given.

Basically, this book would concentrate on the negative things that would fill the mind of people who are going through a stage of having low esteem. The author would not only have some inspiring words for the readers but also some techniques for people to try. The author would want to try to get people gain control over negative thoughts.

Now the last book is one of the best for males in this age. It is entitled Real Boy, Rescuing our Sons from Myths of Boyhood. This book was written by famous author William Pollack who is an author of many books similar to this one.

Now one of the main things that the book would concentrate on would be how society looks at men. Men are actually expected to take the bout of any problem like how a real man should. Real men are not allowed to complain, cry, and show any form of negative emotion.

Now this kind of ancient mentality can be quite dangerous to the males of this generation because the author recounts that expectations are getting more and more. The author does encourage open communication between both the parent and the child so that the parent will know what is really in the head of the child. The author also encourages males to cry if things do get too much.
