Supernatural Thriller Books Are Fun

By Michael Schmidt

Fortunately many people living on this planet are always looking for brand new ways to bring excitement into their lives. This is one reason why supernatural thriller books are fun to read very late at night. There are so many of these novels to choose from and a person will never get bored once they have started reading these pages.

The Omen, The Exorcist, and Poltergeist are three of the scariest novels that anyone can read. Writer David Seltzer really gave people a good scare when he created the character of Damien Thorne who was an innocent child with very bad thoughts. This is one book that people cannot put down as the read the story of a little boy who was adopted into a very wealthy family as an infant.

The small boy named Damien came into the Thorne family very innocently but underneath his smile was a vicious killer who would destroy everyone in order to gain everything. His hound from Hell convinced his lovely young nanny to kill herself during Damiens birthday party. This was the first evil deed which was done before more destruction was to come.

The nanny felt very little pain when her body slammed through a closed window since she was doing this deed for her little darling Damien. After this was over his parents wondered about the young woman and thought that she may have been on drugs because of the event. They had no idea that drugs did not play a part within her decision.

Within a few days another older woman came to the mansion and she had all of the proper paperwork to take over the duties as nanny and supervisor to young Damien. The Devil himself had sent this woman to guard his beloved son but no one around knew this important information.

After the unfortunate event with the younger nanny more strange things begin to happen to this wealthy family. The mother is pushed out of a hospital window after suffering from a miscarriage and later on a young English man is decapitated when he tries to retrieve some daggers. The novel has a tragic end and it seems as though the Devils son will soon rule the world.

If The Omen does not scare you then writer William Peter Blatty will change all of this with his novel called The Exorcist. This is a tale about a young girl living in Georgetown with here now divorced mother and nanny. Reagan is a sweet little girl who has the misfortune of playing with a Ouija board on her own. This event produces a vengeful spirit who eventually takes possession of her body and things get real ugly within this household.

Unexplained deaths begin to happen and the house is now suddenly cold for no real reason. Reagan begins to speak in different languages and she is now showing signs of severe mental illness. At this point the mother can only rely on two priests who are allowed to perform an exorcism on this tormented young child. Things go very wrong during this ancient ritual and both men are killed by the demon who is now lurking within this house.
